For the past several years, Maria has been the crew leader of our annual Christmas lights installation. She has worked behind the scenes helping create the display that brings joy to so many families in our community each holiday season. Today, we are asking for help on her behalf.
Maria is currently hospitalized in Mexico fighting for her life. She was recently diagnosed with high-grade pleomorphic sarcoma, a rare and aggressive cancer.
Doctors attempted surgery in hopes of removing the tumor, but during the operation they discovered that it was attached to vital organs and critical structures and could not be safely removed. Our foundation has started this fundraiser to help Maria access potentially life-saving treatment and cover the overwhelming medical expenses her family is facing.
